Gasfinolhu is surrounded by a big, beautiful lagoon which is home to a large variety of marine life. There is no typical house reef and so all our dives are boat dives. As the lagoon is shallow it is a ideal environment for both divers training and snorkeling.

All equipment necessary for diving & snorkeling can be rented at the dive center. The equipment is checked, serviced and replaced on a regular basis, insuring that everything is always up to date. All rental and personal diving equipment is stored in the on-site wet room.

The average water temperature is 28 degrees Celsius. The visibility from January to May is around 20m to 50m and from June to December is around 15m to 25m.

Ocean-Pro Dive Sites: Numerous amounts of courses for beginners and experienced divers are available from the Dive Center. We cover most of North Male Atoll with more than 50 dive sites, rated from easy to difficult.

They include different reef formations, such as Thilas, Giris and Farus; Outside Reefs; Channels and Wrecks. The outside reefs around Gasfinolhu are popular for their turtle population and so encounters are literally guaranteed. It is also possible to see Sharks and Manta Rays all through the year. Our favorite Manta spots from May to December are “Fairy Tale” and “Lankan Manta Point” and from December to April is “Bodu Hithi Thila”. These trips are offered as full day or two tank dive outings.

Our courses are held in English, German, Italian, French and Spanish. Morning and afternoon boat dives to 30 different dive sites and weekly full day tours are also offered. Also, 12 hours house reef diving for skilled divers and a guided house reef dives is available.

Equipments provided: 40 sets of snorkeling, 20 BCD jackets, 20 regulators Sherwood, Dive computers (Octopus Suunto), Dive lights and 50 aluminum tanks: 10 and 11 liters are the equipments available here.

Other Facilities: these include a Classroom with AV equipment, well equipped workshop for basic maintenance and service, One Bauer compressors with a capacity of 230 l/min, Dan Oxygen kit and a Medical Centre with a 4 man Decompression Chamber in 15 min by speedboat on Bandos Island Resort.

- Introduction dive for US$ 30.00 offers 30 minutes of dive in shallow waters.
- Discover Scuba Diving PADI for US$ 110.00 which includes 2 dives, that enables you to dive with us on the house reef, it counts as the first 2 dives of the PADI Open Water Course.
- Open Water Course PADI for US$ 484.00 including all the educational material, equipment and certification.
- Specialty Courses for US$ 50 per dive plus US$ 30 per certification fee.
- Advanced Open Water Course for US$ 290.00, the dives will be charged according to the price list.
- Rescue Course for US$ 370.00, and
- Dive master course for US$ 800.00.

Non limit diving
- 6 days (for US$ 330.00): this is for experienced divers only. Boat and equipment are not included. This program has to be taken as block and can not be split.
- 12 days (for US$ 550.00): this is also for skilled divers only. Boat and equipment are not included. This program too, has to be taken as block and can not be split.

Dive Packages: Prices for Dive Packages with equipment included and tank and weight belt differs according to the amount of dives selected.

Boat Trips: One trip, two trips per day and full day trips are also available at US$ 10, 18 and 22 respectively.

Ilaa Restaurant: This restaurant serves “all you can eat” buffet style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a variety to please everyone’s taste, in the traditional open-air, thatch roof dining room with a separate dining room table for each guest room. There are set timings for breakfast, lunch and dinner hours. Breakfast is served from 0730 to 0930, Lunch from 1230 to 1400 (Friday from 1300 to1430) and Dinner served from 1930 to 2130 hours.

Afternoon Tea: From 1500 to 1800 hours, an range of finger sandwiches, cake, and tea or coffee is served to the guests for afternoon tea.

Menu Availability: A Beverage Menu & Wine Menu is accessible to all guests. And the snack menu is available at the Ihaa Bar in between meal hours. For a special open air dinner under the stars, you can choose from the menu available for that purpose. It is the menu for Romantic Beach Dinners.
