The things to do Seattle WA has has for you are simply an amazing spectacle for all of your senses. It will not be possible to touch on all of them here in, but I will give it a whirl. One of the things you will definitely want to experience is the Pike Place Market. Just trot on down to the intersection of 1st and Pike streets and you literally cannot miss it as if you went much farther you would need your boat handy because you would be in the Puget sound (Seattle’s Ocean area). Seattle is one of the very few cities that completely makes sense street wise that is. 1st street is literally the first street in the entire city any further West and you have only water.

The Pike Place Market is a smorgasbord of sights, sounds and tastes and is possibly the best things to do Seattle WA has in my book . The Three Sisters Bakery has won the best sandwich in Seattle many years sometimes I think even many years in a row. The sandwiches are some of the best you will find anywhere in the USA period. The bread is all baked at their on site bakery, they of course also have cookies, cakes and bread to take with you after lunch. There is entertainment usually for free or a small donation by some unusually talented street performers. The spoon man that was featured in a rock song and video (named spoon man) was originally a regular no charge street performer at the Pike Place Market for several years until that band discovered him. I even saw him do a performance at a wedding I attended.

The entire first street heading south especially is a treat that you have to see to believe. Just a block away or so you will find the Seattle Art Museum and it is very well worth the time to view the exhibits there. You won’t be able to miss the museum as there is a 3 to 4 story rust brown colored metal sculpture at the very face of the building.

If it’s Island hoping you are after then take the ferry to the Island chains that dot the Ocean area seascape. At or near the end of the line of smaller Islands (I don’t recall, it’s been a while) is an Island called Orcas Island. The main hotel is more like a bed and breakfast with very reasonable rates as I remember. I woke one morning there very early (I don’t know, just couldn’t sleep) and walked out front of the hotel to find deer happily feasting on apples that had fallen from the tree in the front of the yard there.

As I mentioned, I have now only touched on a few things to do Seattle WA style. One more thing I would however like to ad which would be: if you ever get the chance to go in the summer it is the greenest place I have ever seen in my life. The colors will blow you away.
